Studio Portraits
Your time in the studio is unique to you. In that space, we will capture what is special about you and your group. My studio style is simple, but it is in that simplicity that we find the essence of you.

I use a studio located conveniently in Long Eaton town centre, halfway between Nottingham and Derby, 10 minutes from M1 Junction 25, and close to the Train Station.

HOW TO BOOK
Start by sending me a message, so that we can discuss what you'd like to get out of the experience, then book a day and time that suits you. A £50 deposit will secure your slot, with the balance payable on the day of the shoot.

ON THE SHOOT
Depending on your package, you will have up 2 hours in the session, which will include arrival, a getting-to-know-you chat, and admin. It will be a very laid-back session, and we'll work together to build stunning images.
To create an interesting, high-quality portrait, I ask that you and your group coordinate your outfits, and match the tone of the backdrop. Muted colours like creams, browns and greys, as well as pastel blues, pinks and yellows work the best. This is fine art, so you can be low key or as extravagant with your outfit as you like! I can advise on this prior to the shoot.
AFTER THE SHOOT
A selection of the best images from the shoot will be sent via a private link for you to review.
You will then choose your favourites to receive as high-resolution digital files and one of those to be printed.
The print/s will then be available to be picked up.

The turnaround from the shoot to the final images being sent to you is 7-10 working days. The framed print will be available another 7-10 working days after the selection.

ADDITIONAL IMAGES
As part of the package, you will receive 5 or 10 copyright-free, high-resolution digital images in JPEG format, chosen from the selection of edits. If you have had a Fine Art Portrait shoot, then one of these will become your print.

If you are finding it difficult to choose and would like to purchase more than the allotted number of images, further images are available to buy at £15 per digital image.

FAQ'S

Why is the background always the same?
Having shot studio portraits over the years, I have come to realise that in concentrating on too many different elements, you actually take away from the final piece. Working on being comfortable, simple yet effective posing, and connecting with the lens will yield far greater results for both the photographer and subject.

Will you use my images promotionally?
I will only use your images if you have signed to say that you're okay with it. The agreement will stipulate whether they are used on the website, social media, or printed materials. Anyone over the age of 13 will be required to consent, even if a parent or guardian is present.

What's the difference between the packages?
The Headshots package focus' only on head and shoulder framing, that is ideal for those who simply need an image for their portfolios, websites, CV's or profiles, such as actors or professionals.
The portrait session is more involved. It can be a solo shoot, or couples or groups, and you will see me taking a vast array of photographs; intimate close-ups, and well-composed, carefully-posed full-body shots, sometimes with props such as chairs.

I have a big group, is that a problem?
Not at all. There is space to accommodate most size groups, we will need to discuss how many and you're requirements before the shoot!
